Why I Write Stories

It began with a floppy disk and a blinking cursor.
I was eight when I first opened a word processor on an old computer. The screen was mostly black, the letters neon green, and I was instantly obsessed—not just with typing but with the idea that technology could help me build something out of nothing.
I didn't know the words worldbuilding or narrative arc. I just knew I could press keys, and entire worlds would appear.
From MS Paint robots to sci-fi short stories on WordPad, tech wasn't just a tool—it was a portal. Every game, every program, every glitch became part of the story. And I wrote it all down.
That spark never left. Today, I still write because storytelling and technology share the same core superpower: the ability to imagine what doesn't exist—yet—and bring it to life.
